Welcome. I am an assistant professor of English at Centenary College of Louisiana where I teach courses in American Literature and culture, Environmental Humanities, and New Media. <click here to check out course syllabi> I earned my PhD from West Virginia University where I worked with Robert Markley. While at WVU I worked on the multimedia DVD-ROM Red Planet: Scientific and Cultural Encounters with Mars available from U of Pennsylvania P. I am currently doing research on several projects on scholarly multimedia, global warming in science fiction, and gender and ecology. <click here to check out my research> As Centenary's Faculty Fellow for Environmental Initiatives, I work closely with students to bring about positive change on Centenary's Campus. Some of our activities include hosting guest speakers, running the college's recycling program, raising public awareness through editorials, podcasts, and public service announcements, and raising funds to bring solar energy to Centenary. If you would like to join the Centenary Environmental Association or would like more information, please feel free to contact me.
