All About Me
Well, where should I begin? I'm a physics major here at Centenary College in Shreveport, LA, but I'm originally from Hammond, LA. I went to St. Thomas Aquinas High School, where I played four years of varsity football, two years of cheerleading (during the off season), and two years of Powerlifting (I happened to be injured the other two years). I like to do just about anything: reading writing, listening to music, watching a good movie, etc.
I'm also a NASCAR fan, and I try to watch the races most every Sunday (or whenever they have one). I always liked the #3 Dale Earnhart, but I like most all the other drivers too (except for Mike Skinner and Tony Stewart).
I have a lot of things that I want to do before I die. I'm interested in just about every subject there is and I want to travel all over the world. I like all the sciences, literature, history, theology, and I try to have an appreciation for the arts (though I don't really do many of them). I guess one of my big goals in life is to be a sort of modern Renaissance Man. The thought of having such a broad base of knowledge and skill is very appealing because I see it as a way of making the most of a rather short life here on Earth. In taking in as much of this world as I can, I hope to make my life more enjoyable, more capable of helping others, and more pleasing to God. If you would like to see "list" of my goals in life click HERE (**the link is not up yet, sorry).
I see a lot of unhappy people in this world, some of which may not even realize why they are unhappy. They have gotten so used to being unhappy that they don't realize how much better it all can be. They walk around, wondering why they feel the way they do, like their lives are meaningless. I think most all of us have felt this way before at some point or another. It really bothers me when I see the hurt in someone's eyes, and I usually don't know what I can do to help. What I hope to ultimately accomplish by my life is to live it in such a way that maybe someone can see me, and they can understand or relate to something that I have experienced, so that maybe I can make a significant difference in at least one other life. Not that I think that my life is just so remarkable, for I'm no better or no different than anyone else. I feel the same emotions of loneliness, hopelessness, helplessness, frustration, and fear as everyone else. But what else is life good for unless we can share it in a significant way with others? Just to share it so that we can touch another person's heart...That's where we can find meaning to our tumultuous existence, and in finding meaning we can find true happiness.
I hope that tells you just a little bit about the kind of person I am. If you want to know more, you'll have to contact me. Feel free to email me (or if you can find the number, call me, I won't mind). I also have AOL Instant Messenger and ICQ (email me for that info too). I like talking to new people, though I can be kind of shy. Thanks!
