A Love Sonnet
The stars are diamonds shining bright tonight,
As shooting stars do streak across the skies,
And all Creation marvel at the sight,
As lovers below relish in their sighs.
The softly glowing moon has set the mood,
And you and I shall dance the night away,
And stay up later than we really should,
To watch the sun announce the break of day.
And when I leave you home my heart will ache
Until again I see your lovely face,
And at the sight my world will start to shake
And I will pull you in a close embrace.
From you I cannot stand to be apart
For it is you that holds my fragile heart.
