In an essay of approximately 750 words and at least five paragraphs, examine Art's observation in Maus that "in some ways [Vladek] didn't survive" the Holocaust (90) and that, as the therapist observes, Art is himself "the real survivor" (44).  Before you plan out the essay and then again before you pronounce it done, review the criteria for evaluation on the syllabus
