The England Module

May 2001

This past summer, I went on the Centenary England Module.  It was such an incredible opportunity!!   Dr. Shelburne, professor of English here at Centenary, took 15 students to England for several weeks to experience British culture.  In order to receive class credit, we each had to write an extensive daily journal, research an aspect of British culture (naturally I picked rowing), attend various lectures, and visit specific places.

Going into it, I was excited and nervous, but everything was perfect!!  It was the experience of a lifetime, and not only did I experience a new place and culture, but I made some awesome friends as well.  In fact, I had such a great time that I made a huge scrapbook of my adventures, which my dad was kind enough to scan into the computer for me (thanks Dad!!).  It's in slide show format below, along with my diary from the trip!!
