When I looked at the mainpage of Voice of the Shuttle the fist thing that I noticed was the search option. It allows the viewer to specifically access what they were looking for immediately and served as a good way to navigate throughout the site.I, as the visitor, did not have to browse the entire site to find whatthey were looking for. Next, I noticed that the font was very clear andeasy to read. Though I did think it could be a bit larger in size the fontcolors of red on yellow and black on white were visible combinations. Also,on the main page, I thought that at the bottom where there was a mailing address, email address, person to contact and a place to make suggestions was a very good idea. It showed that the person in charge knows that there is always room for improvement and they were willing to accept it.
Next, I looked at the HenryV site where I found a lot of valuable information. This site was particularly helpful to me as an English student, because it provided a good visual pictureof King Henry V and other much needed information that was directed towards college students. I used the information that I received of Henry’s life and his background. It also provided information on his birth date, marriage, child, and genealogy. This site also provided great links to other sites.
The site I used to get information on the king’s background had very good accessibility and was easy to navigate through. There was a link to the home page, to take short cuts throughout the site, contact the maker of the site, go shopping, travel, history, British life and more. As the aesthetics go they weresatisfactory but lacked color. All of the texts except six words were in black and white, though the text was easy to read and the site was for informational proposes not entertainment. This site turned out to be helpful and I was glad that I visited it.
