Apollonian and Dionysian Debate

Because of the convocation "The Apollonian and Dionysian Debate Society" I gained a better understanding of the beliefs of the Apollonians and the Dionysians. The Apollonians wanted things to be reasonable. They represent "reason, logic, and mind". They seem to be pretty smart in situations because they think before they act and choose their words wisely. This is how I want to be. I want to make sure things are done right and be careful about what I say and do. The Dionysians on the other hand, represent "body" and "natural things". I would use the word "crazy" to describe them. They seem to be inconsiderate of the feelings of others. This reminds me of my aunt. She does not worry about what other people think about what she says and does. I am sort of Dionysian in that respect because sometimes I just go with the flow and not worry about things. I really enjoyed the convocation. I like the way they used the "debate" to help us to understand the Apollonians and the Dionysians. I gained some insight on their behavioral patterns and their beliefs. I would say that I have a little bit of both in me but the majority is probably Apollonian.
